SFAC KeralaAnupama(early flowering habit and suitable for central zone) and AD-4 are the latest varietis released from KAU.
During may - june is the best season for planting.

Irrigate once in a week during summer season. Mulch with dried leaves. Avoid irrigation just before flowering. Irrigation after flowering will increase number and weight of fruits.
FYM at the rate of 10-20 kg per pit and urea, rajphos, potash @ 130 : 444 : 67 g per pit are recommended.
The average yield is 10-15 kg per tree per year.
