seeds collected from riped fruits are used as planting materials
pits of 60 cm diameter and 30-45 cm depth are taken.well rotten FYM and fertilizers are mixed with top soil in the pit and four or five seeds are sown in a pit .Remove unhealthy plants after two weeks and retain two or three plants per pit.
Fertilizer recommendations is 70: 25: 25 kg per ha .Apply FYM @ 20-25 tonnper hectre as basal dose along with half dose of N ( 35 kg) and full doses of phosphorous ( 25 kg ) and potash ( 25 kg per hectre ).The remaining dose of N ( 35 kg) can be applied in two equal splits at the time of vinning and full blooming
during the initial stages of growth ,irrigate at an interval of three or four days .irrigate on alternate days during the flowering and fruiting.when fruits mature the frequency of irrigation may be reduced.
100-110 ദിവസമാണ് മൂപ്പ്. 75-80 ദിവസംകൊണ്ട് വിളവുതരുന്ന അര്ക്കമുത്തുവിന് 40-45 ടണ് വിളവിനു കഴിവുണ്ട്.പുറംതോട് കടുംപച്ചയുള്ള അര്ക്ക ജ്യോതി 90 ദിവസംകൊണ്ട് വിളവുതരും. അര്ക്ക ഐശ്വര്യ ഗുണത്തിലും ഉല്പ്പാദനത്തിലും മുമ്പനാണ്. ഹെക്ടറിന് 80 ടണ്വരെ വിളവുതരും.കുരു ഇല്ലാത്ത ഇനമാണ് അര്ക്കമധുര. ഇത് 60 ടണ് വിളവുതരും. പോളിഹൗസിലും ഇത് കൃഷിചെയ്യാം.
