symptoms

 The infected tissue turns pale green-yellow and then turns brown and dies.

These area enlarge as the disease progresses and severely affected leaves may drop off.

Management

Use black rot tolerant varieties 

Treat seeds with Pseudomonas 20g/litre of water/kg of seed 

Affected plants should be removed and destroyed.
